So we found two weeks ago an investigator named Ismael. He´s
a dad of 5 and comes from a really rough part of Mexico called Michoacan. So
that means he´s lived some tough things and so he´s got a different perspective
on life. Due to this new perspective, all he wants to do is get closer to his
Savior Jesus Christ and change his life. He came to General Conference, loved
it, we asked him to be baptized, said yes and is preparing for the 14 of May,
went to church yesterday and wants nothing more than to keep on improving. It
makes me so happy to see the changes people make in their lives to become
closer to our Savior. Ismael has such a strong spirit and I am so privileged to
get to teach him.
Also, I have come to be friends with a parrot this transfer.
His name is Terugo and every time I arrive at Noe and Fatima´s house, our other
investigators, Terugo goes crazy. He says Hi and dances and lets me pet his
pretty little head. It’s a blast. And then there´s Fatima and Noe. They are
just awesome people. So kind. they want to help us with anything and everything
that we need and we are planning to go and help them paint their house because
being a missionary includes doing service projects and I like to paint!!!
I have made it to 9 months in the mission and it´s
impossible to believe it. How has time flown by? Well, the only answer is
through very hard work. We work work work work work all the day long and it’s
the most rewarding thing to come home at night dead tired because you gave it
your all. I love the mission!!!
I hope you all have a fabulous week!!!
Love,
Hermana Hyer
