Overtime and Stake Conference

Dear Fam,

Hey you all! It was nice to see you, family, this past week. I hope you had an excellent Mother’s day and I hope the long haul for the end of the school year isn´t too rough at this point.

So these last two days have felt like we were working overtime and last night I was dead tired. There is a good reason why we have a Preparation day once every 7 days. It´s the little recharge we need to keep a move on and keep going in the work of the Lord. Because even when you see the missionaries and they look perfect and happy and energized, the work is tiring. But it is also work every drop of sweat, every tear, every blister, every angry catholic and every heartbreak when people choose not to listen or stop progressing. The reason we don´t look so tired and don´t give up is because the Lord tends to bless us with strength to carry on. Plus, as missionaries we have millions of faithful members praying for us. I personally, would like to thank each of you for your prayers and help, because I´ve needed it and will keep needing it.

So the event of this week is we had Stake conference. and it was AWESOME!!!! I had the opportunity to go to both of the sessions and it was great. The theme was "What more do I lack?" and man did I receive some great personal revelation. Sister Mecham and President Mecham gave some awesome talks and Presidente Trujillo gave a great one as well. The Spirit was super strong and the words were exactly what I needed to hear. I was one happy sister missionary. I got to understand a bit more about how I can improve myself and continue my eternal progression one step at a time.

I also got to teach in District meeting this week and we talked about the importance of the Holy Ghost. I received some great revelation that day as well because I was reminded that learning to recognize the promptings of the Holy Ghost is essential to our eternal progression. There´s a great quote by Joseph Smith that Preach My Gospel cites that says that Salvation is impossible without revelation. How true that is! If we can´t listen to the spirit, we can´t grow and progress. If we can’t grow and progress we cannot reach Salvation. So, Moral of the story is, learn how the Spirit talks to you, listen to him, and you can make it to eternal salvation. I testify that the Holy Ghost is crucial in our process of development and I know that if we listen to his promptings, we will be lead safely down the path that leads to Eternal Life.

I love you all! And hope you have a great week!
